How external wall insulation works
External wall insulation involves fixing a layer of insulation board to the outside of your property, then applying a weatherproof render finish on top. EWI is particularly effective for solid-wall properties — Victorian and Edwardian terraces, 1930s semis, and any home built before around 1920 that has no cavity for cavity wall insulation.
These property types are extremely common across Brighton and Hove. We also carry out EWI in Eastbourne and Hastings, where similar solid-wall Victorian and 1930s stock is common.

A base coat is applied with embedded fibreglass mesh to add strength and crack resistance.
Decorative render applied

Sign-off and guarantee
We tidy up, sign off the job. All work is fully guaranteed and the system carries a 25-year warranty.
